לפני שבע עשרה שנה, כשהייתה ילדה, חוותה הבמאית אירוע טראומטי שעדיין מחזיק אותה באחיזתו. היא יוצאת למסע גילוי ברחבי ישראל כדי לנסות למצוא, כנגד כל הסיכויים, איש זר שעזר לה בזמן הצרה אך נעלם מיד. המטרה - לקבל מידה מסוימת של ריפוי עבורה ועבור משפחתה.
