Three Mothers

The director, a new mother herself, seeks out motherhood in its different forms.  She meets Shelley, who got pregnant in high school and refused to give up her baby for adoption.  Shelley, now in her late twenties, is the mother of a ten year old. Dvori, an orthodox single woman, is expecting twins through artificial insemination.  Each of the mothers has her own way of defining and experiencing the role.
