Prizes & Awards at the 2018 Maaleh Graduation Ceremony.

Six fictional shorts and four documentary shorts by graduates from Maaleh's production and directing track, as well as scripts written by graduates from the scriptwriting track, were the nominees for various prizes and awards at the Maaleh Graduation Ceremony, 15 February 2018.
The prizes:
Best Drama - Mayor of Jerusalem Prize - "Possessed". Director: Ariel Pariente.
Best Documentary - Jerusalem Foundation Prize - "My Father's Son". Director: Hillel Rate.
Judge's Choice - Maaleh Film School - "Oshri". Director, Lihi Sabag.
Audience Favorite - Maaleh Film School - "Shmelky". Director, Raanan Rosenberg.
Prize for Social Justice - Bilya Maoz Fund - "Almost Liam". Director, Sapir Rokach.
Jewish Content Prize - Awarded by Chana and Professor Louis Schwartzer - "Terror" - Director, Yonatan Shehoah.
Bet Israeli/Zionist Film - Awarded by Eliyhau Roichman - "Never Locked" - Director, Shira Billig.
Outstanding Producer Prize - Awarded by the Maaleh Association for Religous Zionsim - Lihi Sabag for her production of the graduate films "Home Made" (Shira Meishar), "Shmelky" (Raanan Rosenbaum), and Shmelki (Baruch Rosenstein).
Scriptwriting Prizes:
Script Development for Full Length Feature - Grant from Israel's National Foundation for Cinema & Television - Roni Botzer "Four Mothers".
Script Development for Short Film - Grant from Maaleh Film School - Shalev Ben Hur "The days of the Messenger".
